Born in Russia, raised between two worlds — and always drawn to the stage.
Amal Hnayno — born Ekaterina Unisherko on October 29th in Russia, to a Russian mother and a Lebanese father — grew up at the crossing point of two cultures that would go on to shape everything about who she is as an artist.
Her mother is a pediatrician; her father, a counsellor. Her sister, Lorette, trained in law before recently joining the entertainment world herself, as an actress.
At sixteen, Amal was admitted to the Lebanese University, where she went on to earn her BA in Social Sciences. That same year, she was elected 1st Runner-Up in the Miss Lebanon Beauty Pageant — the moment that opened the door to the vast world of entertainment she has never left since.
She entered first as a model, then as an actress, and now — as a singer, carrying both her Russian and Lebanese heritage into every performance.
